Celebrating 7 Years

On Saturday, Jesse and I celebrated our 7th year together, which also happens to be the day we got engaged, 2 years ago. When people ask us the date of our anniversary, we usually say June 25th, instead of September 2nd, which was the actual date we said “I do” almost 2 years ago.

Since Jesse was deployed last year for our anniversary, this year we decided to splurge a little made reservations for a dinner cruise aboard the Hornblower around San Diego harbor. It turned out to be a beautiful, warm night with incredible views of the city and the bay.

We were greeted upon boarding with champagne followed by an awesome 3-course meal, with breaks so we could go up on the deck of the ship to enjoy the views. We also got a chance to show off our sweet dance moves (I’m actually terrible, but Jesse’s awesome), and then there were surprise fireworks at the end of the night!

Going on a dinner cruise around the San Diego harbor has been something on our San Diego bucket list and I’m so glad we were able to go before we leave this city.

Jesse, I can’t believe it’s been 7 years already. I’m so lucky to call you my husband and best friend, so here’s to many more years together. Happy anniversary!

Congrats on your anniversary, Emma and Jesse! Sounds like you had a fantastic time celebrating, too. Great pics! I was so sorry to miss you in Vermont — work got in the way of that one. Hopefully one day soon we’ll be able to connect in person. Sending love and hugs your way!

Thanks for taking all of us on the cruise with both of you. As usual, you gave us an interesting “read” and wonderful pictures. Congratulations on #7! We’re looking forward to sharing many more anniversaries with both of you.
